Last Monday, P6/7 had lots of fun in Craigmonie Woods. For their first activity, they worked in pairs or trios to create a frame. This provided useful practise in square lashing (which the P7s learned to do at Loch Insh, back in September.)
P6/7 then formed into larger teams and were challenged to build a den. Square lashing was an important skill to use to secure the frame. Every den was different.
Thank you to Sandra and Heather (Forestry Commission) for leading the activities, and to Mr Christie and Mrs MacPherson for being very helpful parent volunteers. It was a very busy afternoon!
Has anyone been back to their den to repair it or finish building it?
