On the 2nd of May, Generation Science staff led P6/7M in a “Power from the People” interactive workshop. During the workshop, they explored what electricity is and how it is produced.
P6/7M became electric scientists to discover how they could produce electricity from the movement of their bodies. Pupils explored the principles of electricity using circuits, flowing electrons, magnets and capacitors. As a final challenge, the children worked in small groups to assemble their own generator and produce electricity from their own movement. This was a great way to continue our learning about energy and electricity.
Can your children explain what is happening in each photo?
