P6/7M have been revisiting rounding and estimating over the last two weeks. We have been rounding 4-7 digit numbers to the nearest ten, hundred and thousand to help us to estimate calculations.
On Monday afternoon, we made our own 4-digit numberlines with post-it notes. We had to round 4 digit numbers to the nearest ten, hundred and thousand in our jotters.
When rounding and estimating calculations, we discussed how knowing our numbers bonds really well is a huge help. This is something we can continue to practise at home, using our maths packs! 🙂
