Fairtrade Fortnight Fact Finding!

Last week, P6/7M enjoyed a tasty lesson, discovering which types of chocolate are most popular in our class.  They then used Google Sheets to display the data.  They learned about the process of manufacturing chocolate and where the raw ingredients are produced.  In teams, they tried to sequence photographs of the process.

This week, our focus is the chocolate farmers in Cote d’Ivoire (the Ivory Coast) – a French speaking African country that produces over 40% of the world’s cocoa.  After learning about the process of making chocolate in French, P6/7 have begun to conduct some research into the Cote d’Ivoire.  Each team of 4-6 pupils will produce a group poster to share their learning.  We’ll share them with you at the end of the week!
