P6/7M LOVE the Countdown numbers game – we play it regularly. Sometimes the pupils even manage to beat the computer! It is a great way of practising the four operations: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Lots of learning takes place when we ask pupils to show and explain their strategies for getting as close to the number as possible.
